Philippians 2:15
That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
For years I had it on my heart to homeschool my daughter. I went back and forth on the idea a lot. “I’m going to ruin my child.” then, “No, the world is going to ruin my child!” I came to the conclusion I might ruin her less… I now homeschool my 9 year old daughter and 5 year old son. And, with taking very little credit for their intelligence, they are pretty darn smart!
This morning I was driving my kiddos to their homeschool co-op. We drive eastbound and the sun shines so bright it makes the road difficult to see. My face crinkles up, in the hope my eyebrows will do what I’ve been told they were created for, trying to block the light from completely blinding me. That would make for an Instagram worthy picture for sure! It made me noodle around a bit. I wish my faith in Jesus shined so bright when others looked at me, that it would make them see nothing but Christ. I would love if my faith in Jesus made unbelievers cringe and crinkle their faces from my blinding light. I believe that would make Jesus smile. In the same way I pray this blinding light will be something my kids want to model. That they would go to their sporting events, friends houses, or their co-op and let their light radiate to everyone around them. If you don’t have children of your own watching your every move, know the younger generation is watching, even if you don’t notice. God put them in our lives for a specific reason and there is no way we are going to ruin His plan, we don’t have that kind of power. So, lets step out of the darkness and make the decision to live for Christ in the most blinding way.
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Father,
Please help us allow your light to shine through us daily. Help us stand up for what is right and not care what others think. You are the only one we want to impress! Go before us daily and remind us of these changes we are going to make throughout our week. We love you and praise you. In your Holy name we pray. Amen.
